Innovative synthetic marine decking
The latest synthetic marine decking products from Permateek International Ltd include the company’s innovative ‘Multi-Colour’ decking and a new 150 mm ‘Wide Plank’ range suitable for larger vessels, as well as a new colour called Dapple Grey. Permateek’s ‘Multi-Colour’
product combines up to three out of six carefully chosen shades of decking. he Boat Works’ new superyacht yard at Coomera, Australia, is now open for business
for vessels from 5-50 m after a phenomenally fast build time of nine months. The state-of-the-art facility has already welcomed some of the region’s premium vessels over 30 m for refit, repair and maintenance, whose owners were attracted by the top class amenities and the Gold Coast’s largest boat hoist. Supplied by Marine Travelift, this has a capacity of 300 tonnes. The Boat Works now occupies 55 acres in total within a sympathetically-designed and landscaped area in the heart of the Gold Coast Marine Precinct. On the water, the purpose-built
marina constructed by local firm Superior Jetties features berthing for 15 superyachts to 50 m, with alongside berthing for vessels up to 70 m. The next phase of this landmark
development will begin in the near future with Stage 2, comprising a dedicated sand-blasting shed and refit workshops, together with a lifestyle complex for retail outlets, professional offices, a function centre, restaurants and bars, landscaped as a tranquil reserve for visiting boat-owners, contractors and those seeking an entertainment venue with sensational vistas of superyachts. are joined using thermal welding – rather than glue – to ensure a contiguous deck that is resilient to the knocks and spills of everyday use and will not lose its superior non-slip properties when wet. Permateek International Ltd

Permateek ‘Multi-Colour’ applied to the foredeck of a sailing vessel. Polyurethane topcoat
A two-component, polyurethane topcoat recommended especially for use above the waterline on a wide variety of substrates, including laminates, GRP, wood, steel and aluminium, is available from Troton of Poland. Sea-Line high gloss yacht
paint exhibits good resistance to ultra-violet light and weathering and has excellent
mechanical strength. Easy to mix and apply by
rush, roller or spray gun, the viscosity of the paint and the
amount of pigment provides high performance and opacity, and it does not drip from vertical surfaces. Special thinners can be supplied to match the method of application employed. Sea-Line paint is produced in a
range of eight colours, including black and white. Troton Spolka zo.o
