Award-winning service pedestal inspired by corals
A
marina service pedestal with built-in LED lighting designed by Marcus Triibmann takes
as its inspiration the marine invertebrates that form corals. Manufactured in Estonia by KEHA3, the Coral pedestal has been awarded the prestigious Estonian Design Award (called BRUNO) in the category of Best Engineering Product. The unusual form enables many
different configurations, with multiple service hatches and
power outlets from 16-125 A to be mounted as required. In fact, up to six different outlets can be mounted on a single service pedestal. The branches of the coral are used as mounting points for power outlets, hatches and water taps. The body of the pedestal is made from durable polyethylene plastic and is semi-transparent to light, which adds aesthetic and sculptural value to its environment. The body and the electronic components are mounted on a
central aluminum frame and the hatches allow for quick access in order to service electronic components or change the LED bulbs. The water supply system is separated from the electronics through an autonomous enclosed space to ensure safety if there is a leak. The Coral pedestal measures
1,248 mm high x 738 mm wide x 360 mm deep. KEHA3,

Two stands for leisure craft
According to French equipment manufacturer Nautipark, it is possible to support more than 98% of leisure craft with just two models of the EC-certified Parkup Evo stand for sailing, motor, speed and racing boats. These are: the Parkup Evo 80 for a safe working load (SWL) of 5 tons; and the Parkup Evo 100 for an
SWL of 6-10 tons. Both quickly adjustable models
are easy to adapt for use with mono or multi-hulls and feature pads designed and shaped to fit different hull shapes. They are also compatible with the Parklev trailer for launching boats. The stands provide high levels
of rigidity and stability due to support legs and it is not necessary for the boatyard employee to work underneath the vessel being supported. Being hot dip galvanised, they offer a proven level of durability. Nautipark
