hen Port Pierre Canto opened for business at Cannes on the fabulous Cote d’Azur
in 1964/65, it made history as the first true leisure boat marina in France and became a catalyst for marina development throughout the region. Located at the end of the world-renowned La Croisette, this well-established harbour has
been providing excellent service since its foundation and for the past ten years has achieved Blue Flag certification from the Foundation for Environmental Education in recognition that the marina has continued to meet its stringent standards. From the outset, Port Pierre Canto

and aimed to offer high levels of service by providing a wide range of watersports and nautical activities for boat-owners occupying its 600 berths for craft up to 90 metres, In the same spirit, the city
of Cannes – its current owner/ operator – has sought to renew facilities in order to meet the sophisticated requirements of today’s superyacht owners, their
captains and crews, now and into the future. Marinetek of Finland was commissioned to carry out a two-phase project to upgrade the marina five years ago, which involved the delivery of Heavy Duty all-concrete pontoons with hardwood decking moored by chains and piles in a newly- designed marina basin.
