12 SERVICE PEDESTALS
M-TECH invests in the future B
risbane-based M-TECH Marine Technologies has been established in Australia since 1979. This
prominent developer and innovator in the manufacture of specialist equipment for the supply of utility services to the marina industry offers a comprehensive range, including marina service pedestals, harbour lighting, emergency service equipment, sanitation pump-out systems and, more recently, electric vehicle charging stations. All these products from M-TECH’s Australian facility come with a five-year warranty and are backed up by a full range of spare parts and accessories, which can be dispatched within 24 hours. Darren Wilkinson was appointed General Manager in 2011, bringing with him a wealth of experience and valuable contacts within the marina industry, so it was no surprise that the following year, M-TECH was awarded ‘Best Marine Industry Export Performance (Small)’ by the Australian International Marine Export Group for securing the three largest marina projects in the Middle East. This achievement was all the more remarkable as it was attained against a backdrop of slow economic growth following the financial crisis four years earlier. M-Tech proudly supports the
development and growth of the marina industry and is also

acknowledged for its record in local investment and sustainable production. The company’s reputation for a proven product range and experienced staff assures customers that their projects will be completed on time and on budget, There are a number of different models in M-TECH’s range of marina pedestals, including the precisely- engineered Platinum Pedestal, the versatile Sterling Pedestal, the strong and durable XL Pedestal, the Multi Point Marina Utility Stand and the latest addition to the range – the
Multi Service Pedestal (MSP), which can supply everything from electricity and water to lighting and utility metering. There is also a range of four M Class Pedestals. When emergencies occur,
M-TECH’s Fire Station, Fire Hose Reel, stand-alone Fire Extinguisher Cabinet and Instant Response Fire Cart will come to the rescue. Another indispensable service to boat-owners is sanitation pump-out systems and M-TECH can provide the world-renowned models made in the USA by Keco Inc/Pump-A-
Head, which are available in both dockside and portable versions. Finally, in response to growing
concerns about the environment, an advanced range of electric vehicle charging stations developed by Viridian EV in the UK can be supplied for installation in marina car parks. M-TECH will continue to invest in the future of the industry it serves so well. M-TECH Marine Technologies

Charging stations for electric boats
The municipality of Haarlem in The Netherlands has opened the first seven public charging points for electric boats, which have been co-financed by the province of Noord-Holland. The project was carried out by Seijsener Rekreatietechniek in collaboration with utilities provider Involtum. The charging points feature
controllers that communicate with Involtum’s
AanUit.net communication platform. Visitors and residents of Haarlem can
moor at a convenient charging station and use a mobile phone, smartphone, tablet or laptop to log into this system to indicate which power or water connection they wish to activate. After delivery of the required
utility has begun, consumption is precisely measured and users receive an invoice to pay after their cruise through Haarlem. Seijsener Rekreatietechniek BV
