A leading supplier in the world of office design has completed an exciting project for an international transport and logistics customer. PRS Office Furniture were


approached to produce an activity- based workplace which optimised space and helped create a happier and more productive workforce. The workplace offers allocated height adjustable desking for employees, as well as flexible desking for occasional visitors.

space designer Neville Bowman said: “The principle of activity- based working recognises that throughout the day people engage in different activities and are more productive if they can work in a space appropriate to their task. “This site was one of our


customer’s flagship hubs and attracts lots of transient users and visitors so it’s important that it make an impact. We applied many of the key principles used to create


a successful activity-based office, including designing areas to be multi-functional and creating different working zones, including collaborative working and focused working stations.” Other highlights included the implementation of acoustic furniture and solutions to reduce noise transferring between zones and in some cases to act as visual barriers between spaces.
