HOTEL’S SUPPORT FOR HOSPICE
‘THE COCK HOTEL WAS DELIGHTED TO BE ABLE TO SUPPORT THE CHARITY’
When Willen Hospice needed a venue for a series of fundraising events, The Cock Hotel was delighted to be able to support the charity by offering the use of its function room. The charity held a series of five
table-top craft fairs and music quiz nights, raising nearly £4,000. Chris Gregg, senior corporate
fundraiser at Willen Hospice says: “We are hugely grateful to Sara and the team at The Cock Hotel for their support in helping us to fundraise. Every penny counts, and it was amazing to use The Cock Hotel’s function space free of charge. Their assistance with publicising the events was also greatly appreciated and we look forward to continuing our partnership in the future.”
The Hospice is based at a quiet
lakeside area close to central Milton Keynes. Their dedicated teams provide care at the 15-bed in- patient unit or in the patient’s own home, out in the community. They offer bereavement support for loved ones, as well as physiotherapy, lymphoedema treatment and complementary therapy at the Wellbeing Centre. At the toughest time of their lives, people can be cared for to feel relief from pain and families can enjoy the precious moments they have left, with each other. Willen Hospice needs to raise
£4.7m a year – that’s £9 every minute of the day - to continue to provide this specialist end of life care to patients in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.
