Gloucester County Dream Park is a 277-acre state-of-the-art equestrian facility located in Logan Township that frequently hosts large corporate events. The traveler demand in this region has produced overflow bene- fitting Swedesboro, Mullica Hill and Pitman downtowns, which are home to historical attractions, theater, art and many fine dining establishments, as well as wineries such as William Heritage and breweries such as Bonesaw Brewery.


Mount Laurel remains the epicenter of business in Burlington County. Its positioning for access along the New Jersey Turnpike and I-295 has re- sulted in a crop of hotels, restaurants and attractions centered around these thoroughfares.


Aloft and Westin remain standouts and there are a number of business- friendly spaces at each of the major chains in the area. Nearby Moorestown, historic Burlington City and Bordentown offer charming downtowns and dining, while the Pine Barrens boasts unparalleled out- door fun, and Valenzano Winery in Shamong is an experience unto itself.


Right in Mount Laurel is the state-of-the-art Top Golf, which frequently hosts corporate groups after-hours and as part of team building func- tions.


Camden is home to Rutgers University, Subaru of America, Holtec Inter- national and Campbell’s Soup, as well as the Philadelphia 76ers’ practice facility. Businesses and universities continue to build and expand here and the American Basketball Association just recently established the Camden Monarchs professional basketball team.


Food&Drink


In the city of Camden, the late Anthony Bourdain named Donkey's Place cheesesteaks the best in the nation in recent years, and it is now a stop on the Anthony Bourdain NJ Food Trail, along with nearby Tony and Ruth Steaks.


Philadelphia-area restaurateur Michael Schulson, of Izakaya (Atlantic City), Double Knot, Harp and Crown, Sampan and others has plans to open two upscale dining experiences along the Camden Wa- terfront, as well.


Nestled in the quaint woods of Parvin State Park and set among the rich farm country of Pittsgrove in Salem County, The Grove at Centerton offers an up- dated and refreshed experience within a classic South Jersey event space. Cel- ebrating its rustic farmhouse design by accenting its natural surroundings with traditional design elements and contemporary cuisine, The Grove features an impressive foyer with plush furnishings leading to a stylish bridal party suite and later the impressive Garden Room with its stunning vaulted ceilings that make for an impressive indoor/outdoor cocktail hour.


An expansive wall of French doors opens to reveal a landscaped garden and firepit lounge, plus a spacious patio that serves as a private haven and pro- vides the ideal backdrop for a cocktail reception or a wedding ceremony.


In all, The Grove at Centerton boasts more than 15,000-square feet of newly renovated private event space for up to 700 people.


In downtown Camden, several interesting meeting options can be found. Battleship New Jersey is docked for tourist exploration along the Delaware River. At 887-feet, 7-inches long, it was the longest battleship ever built. Its extensive history makes it a fascinating choice for group events, meetings and team building. Nearby, Adventure Aquarium hosts board meetings with views of active shark tanks to the ballroom space for larger galas and cocktail events - not to mention a full river-fronting patio with views of Philadelphia.


Plans for a waterfront hotel are currently under development, as well as two new hotels - a Hilton and a Comfort Inn - in downtown Camden.


Completely renovated and revamped in 2018, the meeting center at Cherry Hill’s Camden County Boathouse is a premier venue on prime Cooper River waterfront property and is located close to accommoda- tions in Cherry Hill.


There are a multitude of social volunteerism opportunities in the city of Camden, too, with Cathedral Kitchen, Ronald McDonald House and The Camden Salvation Army Kroc Center in town. Each of these provide well organized and customizable team building opportunities.


Additional venues and spaces in the city of Camden that are accessible for meeting or event groups include: BB&T Pavilion; Wiggins Waterfront Park; Camden Children’s Garden; Walt Whitman House; South Camden Theatre Company; The Circuit Trails; and the Camden Shipyard and Mar- itime Museum.
