Hall and wife Karen and one of his sons; Terri Reeves Martin; and that’s just scratching the surface! Everyone was there! It was like a big Family Reunion.

Tuesday Night: The Capricorn Concert! Mera Davis played host for the concert,

speaking from a podium at stage right. She introduced Bill Underwood, President of Mercer University, who spoke and welcomed everyone. Then she said that many people who couldn’t make it to the show sent well wishes, and one sent a video. Without giving away who it was, they played the video of Billy Bob Thornton. Billy Bob spoke of the importance of Capricorn in his life, stating that Phil Walden was his manager for a while, and saying that his dream has always been to record at Capricorn. Now, it seems, that dream is a strong possibility. Cool. The core backing band for the concert

floor only to find an empty room except for the Press staff and Willie Perkins. Everyone was outside. That was all about to change in a big way. Long about 3 PM folks piled in and we

again had a non-stop line of folks and books to sign. It was great. There were so many peo- ple at the event! There was simply no way I could find everyone I wanted to speak with! Among friends I did get to speak with were Charlie and Pat Hayward; Chuck and Rose Lane Leavell; Pete Kowalki of Cowboy (he said fellow Cowboy members Bill Pillmore and Tom Wynn were there but sadly, I never got to see them); Tommy and Patti Talton (love them!); Roger Campbell, Charlie’s main man from the Charlie Daniels band; Jimmy

was headed up by Chuck Leavell, who took on a similar role to his job with the Rolling Stones as musical director. He was joined by the Randall Bramblett Band – Randall on organ and sax; Nick Johnson on guitar Tom Ryan on bass/flute/Sax; And Davis Causey on guitar. (Note: Davis played guitar with Chuck and Randall in the jazz fusion ban Sea Level)

Alan Walden, Rob Fenter, Bunky Odom and Selwyn Miller.
