United States Army General Officer’s Chapeau Bras, bicorne shape in black beaver ornamented with gold fringes at both ends, a broad gold band of lace upon a black cockade bearing the gilt metal eagle and button of the US Army and an inserted black egret feather plume, stated to have been eliminated in the 1851 Dress Regulations but re-authorised in 1859, severely worn around the bottom edge, therefore fair condition

2nd Life Guards Officer’s Cuirass, a very fine set, both back and breast plates complete with all brass studs and edging, lined with red moroccan and pleated blue velvet, the brass scaled fastening straps with distinctive brass finials, gold lace waist belt lined with red moroccan, sold together with illustrations showing the differences in the cuirass for the three regiments of Household Cavalry, very good condition
