arts education, Transcendence Theatre Company has part- nered with Dunbar Elementary and Sonoma Valley Unified School District to present an innovative 12-week program named Arts Integrated Curric- ulum – featuring English lan- guage


development courses


for pupils in first through fifth grades.


In October 2019, over 120 Dunbar students began par- ticipating in the program fea- turing a specific curriculum introducing arts as a univer- sal language. The curriculum and coursework are designed to encourage artistic and cul- tural expression for improv- ing literacy, creative thinking and self-expression for young
