Legal Staff recognised in ‘legal bible’
Staff from a Midlands’ law firm have been given a boost after gaining recognition in the latest edition of the legal sector’s ‘bible’, ‘The Legal 500’. The Legal 500 is a worldwide
guide to finding recommended legal advisers, and is recognised as the leading authority in this particular field. In the 2020 issue, 17 staff from
FBC Manby Bowdler have been singled out for recognition, including five partners who have been named on the guide’s ‘Leading Lawyers’ list. A further two have been listed as
‘Next Generation’ solicitors and two more have been named ‘Rising Stars’. Among those listed are
Wolverhampton-based corporate lead partner James Sage, commercial litigation senior partner Guy Birkett, and Craig Ridge who heads the disputed probate team. They are joined on the list by Shropshire colleagues Niall Blackie and Steven Corfield. Wolverhampton-based
commercial litigation partner Charlotte Clode is named a ‘Next Generation’ solicitor, along with David Preece, partner in the corporate team at Telford.
Meanwhile associate Kimberly
Mears from the contentious trusts and probate department in Wolverhampton is listed as a ‘Rising Star’, along with Shropshire- based planning team associate Suzanne Tucker. Four of the firm’s departments –
commercial litigation, agriculture and estates, contentious trusts and probate, and family – received top tier rankings placing them amongst the best in the country. FBC Manby Bowdler also
received recommendations for its work in corporate and commercial, debt recovery, insolvency and corporate recovery, personal injury, personal tax, trusts and probate, commercial property and planning. Managing partner Kim Carr said:
“We are delighted with FBC Manby Bowdler’s success in the latest edition of The Legal 500, a truly independent guide which recommends firms and individuals purely on merit. “FBC Manby Bowdler’s strength
lies in the stellar service it offers and the quality and expertise of the lawyers who work here. It is particularly pleasing to see this reflected in this impartial report.”
