Gongs galore: Last year’s award winners and sponsors

Young professionals recognised

A new awards category recognising young professionals has been launched for the fourth annual Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Tamworth Chambers of Commerce awards. The event is returning to the world-renowned

Belfry Hotel and Resort on Friday 24 January. The Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Tamworth

Young Professional of the Year award has been added to this year’s event, alongside the following: • Sutton Coldfield Large Business of the Year • Sutton Coldfield Small Business of the Year • Lichfield & Tamworth Large Business of the Year

• Lichfield & Tamworth Small Business of the Year In addition, Sutton Coldfield Chamber

president Katie Hale and Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber president James Blackman will each present a President’s Award. Katie Hale, who will be recognising a business

or individual who have supported her EcoPledge sustainability initiative, said: “Our annual awards

dinner is a time to celebrate and shine a light on all of the positive business achievements throughout the region. “We are very proud of our Royal Town and we

have so much to offer the businesses who choose us as their home.

‘We have so much to offer the businesses who choose us as their home’

“The new category this year should really add

to the excitement. Not only have we added a Young Professional award, we will be looking to say ‘thank-you’ to a business or person who has really shown their commitment to the Sutton EcoPledge campaign.” The new Young Professional of the Year award

comes on the back of an initiative between Future Faces (the Chamber’s young professionals’ arm), Lichfield District and

Tamworth Borough Council to award nine free memberships to young professionals. James Blackman said: “Lichfield and

Tamworth have really shone this year and between the two areas we have an eclectic mix of outstanding businesses. “Me and the committee and really excited that

Future Faces is firmly up and running in Lichfield and Tamworth with the full support of Lichfield and Tamworth Councils. “We are equally excited to find out who will

win the new Young Professional of the Year award. “It’s going to be the best start for 2020 and

we can’t wait to congratulate the winners of all the awards!” The deadline for award entries is 5pm on Friday 22 November.
