ICI Member Benefits ICI Develops Investment Casting Classroom Kit D
evelopment of sustainable human resources is critical to the future of any industry and the
Investment Casting Institute takes its role in this process seriously. Since joining the ICI as its Executive Director, Joseph Fritz has been meeting with students at junior high schools, high schools and universities to address opportunities and career planning in our industry. Joseph typically goes through a simple presentation highlighting the history and technology of our process, supported by samples of raw materials and finished parts. As a result, his presentation has been refined to the point that the ICI has formalized the presentation materials in a single roller case that can support any Member in duplicating his efforts. The kit, which is made up of materials provided by
Blayson Olefines Ltd., Ransom and Randolph, Hitchiner Manufacturing Co., Fenico Precision Casting, Intrepid Automation and MPI, Inc. is neatly packaged in a hard shell case and will be on display at this year’s Technical Conference and Expo. To better address industry needs, the
ICI encourages every Member to take a few minutes to review the case during the Expo and offer feedback.
It is our
hope that through your involvement we can work together to ensure a bright future for the industry.
When asked about his efforts,
Joseph comments, “My intent is to plant the seed of interest in young people, giving them an option to consider for the future, whether it be manufacturing, engineering or another field that contributes to the investment casting
