a Villa Real de la Santa Fe de San Francisco de Asís, or the Royal Town of the Holy Faith of Saint Francis

of Assisi, is the venue for next year’s Business and Leadership Development Conference.

Today, simply known as

Santa Fe, the capital of New Mexico offers delegates a unique opportunity to experience Spanish charm and hospitality with an element of the Southwest on U.S. soil.

That’s because the culture of its

residence is strongly tied to its heritage, that of New Spain.

Of course, there is also a Native

American influence, as the land was initially occupied by the Tewa and Navajo.

live in concert with the Native Unlike other areas, the

Europeans coming to the New World to homestead in Old Spain learned to

American residents. That is not to say that it wasn’t without its challenges, but over time, harmonious coexistence was established. This location offers the ICI and its guests the unique opportunity to savor old world charm in one of the Nation’s oldest and most historic cities. Our event will be held at La Fonda on the Plaza, an original Harvey Hotel, established in 1922 to address the needs of those traveling through the Southwest by

rail. Strolling the corridors of this grand establishment, one cannot help but reflect on the original artwork lining its halls. It is truly a hotel and art museum in one. Visitors will also notice that the artwork found its way into each of the guest rooms, as each room is adorned with a uniquely designed headboard by a local artist. Art finds its way into the cuisine as well, as there are as many eateries as there are art galleries in the Plaza area. For those of you who have a taste for food with a kick, you will truly enjoy meals prepared with locally grown Hatch chilies.

Additionally, there are

numerous shops and taverns all within walking distance. Naturally, this venue also provides an ideal place for greeting old friends, making new ones, networking and learning how to better run our businesses.

Targeted at an audience

ranging from entry level manager to CEO, the program promises to provide delegates with a first class learning experience compromised of a diverse complement of topics presented by renowned experts in their field. It is my hope that you plan on joining

us. Whether you are fairly new to the industry or are a seasoned professional,

this event offers all of us the opportunity to improve ourselves and our businesses while having a terrific time.
