Lithoz CeraFab S65 Enables Direct Production of Ceramic Casting Cores, Booth 340

Lithoz’

S65 enables direct production of ceramic casting

CeraFab™ cores

using

System additive

manufacturing. Simple or complex cores can be printed at speeds of up to 15 mm per hour up to 320 mm in height.

The new S65 printer allows the modular addition of up to 4 print stations, controlled through a single user interface. The S65 simplifies scale-up for serial production versus installing multiple discrete standalone systems. Printed cores eliminate the need for injection molding tools. Design iterations can be tested within days. The

CeraFab Systems provide high

accuracy and resolution, from 12 mm thick walls down to 0.2 mm edges, pins, and holes. Printing is possible with Lithoz’s LithaCore™ silica-based casting core material, developed together with Imerys. Alternatively, customer-specific slurries may be developed and produced at Lithoz, or users may develop their own

®

slurries on the CeraFab System’s open platform. Successful castings have been made in single crystal, directionally solidified, and standard nickel-alloy and stainless steels using CeraFab printed cores.

Lithoz is based in Vienna, Austria,

with US operations in Troy, New York. For more information visit www.lithoz. com or email info@lithoz-america.com .
