Parkes family purchased their new fi ve- bedroom and one-bathroom


property in Tonbridge it was in a sorry state of disrepair. As part of the refurbishment, they contacted Towns Bathrooms based in Tonbridge, specialising in bathroom design. As well as supplying the products, Towns Bathrooms also designed and installed the Parkes family’s six bathrooms, fi ve of which included Aqualisa showers. Paul Gray, design consultant for


Towns, commented: “After listening to the client’s needs, I proposed the ilux range as a perfect solution for the shower and bathrooms. I like the ilux not only for its simple, compact design but also for providing a selection of different shower experiences at the touch of a button – which is for me the whole point of a smart shower or bath.”


Smart solutions


The main family bathroom is fi tted with a dual outlet ilux, including a bathfi ll, which covers different family preferences


for bathing and showering. The master en suite also features an ilux smart bathfi ll fi tted to a freestanding stone bath that can be remotely controlled from the bedroom. Remote control, also used in the second en suite, combined with a pre-set programme, to add convenience to the luxury of stepping into a temperature-ready shower. Outside, next to the swimming pool, is


an ilux single outlet shower with adjustable handset, which provides the quick shower required before and after a swim. A delighted Mr Parkes commented:


“With four children under seven, I fi nd the child lock features a real reassurance. I am able to leave outlets in the children’s en suite bathrooms locked – keeping them safe and removing the temptation from little fi ngers. On the odd occasion I get a gentle start in the mornings, it’s great to turn the shower/bath on when I am still in bed.”
