At her studio in Tunbridge Wells, Lucy will capture your child’s unique character, moments of joy, laughter or even cheekiness in a way that you will be proud to display for years to come. HOCKEY FOR HEROES
Players from Tunbridge Wells all took part in a Help for Heroes Hockeython that raised more than £4,000 for Help for Heroes. The event, staged by Crowborough Hockey Club, saw individual players from Bennett Memorial School, St James’ Primary School and Tunbridge Wells Hockey Club all take part to play 12 hours of non-stop hockey! The idea of the event was to keep the ball “live” from 8am-8pm in order to work hard for Help for Heroes and raise crucial funds.
Bennett Memorial students picked up individual honours with Seb Turner-Moore awarded Keeper of the Day and Grace Shaw-Hamilton receiving the Player of the Match in the challenging Early Bird Hour. St James’ Primary School fared well too with Eddie Dennett named a Junior Endurance Star, playing in three hour slots (all in goal), while Riyad Fguennou was commended for a tough tackling performance against East Grinstead. In the girls event Roisin Merrick was making her debut and in the
development game against Lewes, Sophia Dennett from Tonbridge Grammar was returning from injury. Tunbridge Wells Hockey Club was well
represented too. Simon Barden played exceptionally in the mixed event keeping a clean sheet against a challenging side made up of players from Brighton, Hailsham, Edenbridge and St Albans.
Justin Singleton, head coach and head of sport at Bennett Memorial said: “It was great to see all the clubs and schools come together for a really important cause.”
