Eastside Community Center Playground Dedication Saturday, September 14 – 4:30 pm
Join us for the official grand opening of the Eastside Community Center Playground. The festivities will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, family friendly games, giveaways, and refreshments.
While you’re at the Playground, take a moment to check out the new improvements at the Eastside Community Center campus, including the new commercial kitchen, upgraded windows, and the beautiful pergola perfect for family photos.
Batavia Road Rally Saturday, September 14 All Ages
Rev your engines, gather your pit crew, and prep your GPS! Bring your A-game at the Batavia Road Rally—our new competitive and educational special event in honor of the Batavia Park District’s 50th Anniversary. Compete against other teams through a series of hints, clues, and activities. Earn points along the route as your test your knowledge of Batavia history and your navigation skills of the city. If you’re a fan of the hit TV show The Amazing Race, this event is for you! Activities are appropriate for all ages. After the event, we will meet at the Eastside Community Center to announce the winners and have some light refreshments. Prizes will be awarded to the teams that have the most points and who show the most team spirit.
The event fee is charged per team, so you can have as many people in the vehicle as can safely fit. Remember t o drive safely and follow all the rules of the road. Teams must have a driver with a valid driver’s license.
