Contemporary LM Ages 9+
This class will be very expressive with elements of modern, jazz, lyrical, and ballet while striving to connect the mind and body through fluid dance movements. Jazz shoes or ballet shoes can be worn for this class while at times we will be dancing barefoot. Contemporary entails some fun floor work and dancers will learn some basic partner skills and lifts!

Batavia Dance Force Ages 10+

Attention dancers ages 10 and up! Batavia Park District’s dance team, Batavia Dance Force, is getting ready for a new season! Practices will be Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30 and will cover jazz, hip hop, tap, and ballet/lyrical. The team will focus on performances throughout the year including the spring recital, Midwest Showcase, and Illinois State Fair. The team will also have leadership building working as dance mentors for the younger Batavia dancers. This is a September-Spring Recital class with optional signup for summer classes/performances. Previous dance experience needed to make tryouts. Please bring your dance shoes!

Non-Recital Classes Irish Dance
LM Ages 5+
Beginner through advanced dancers will learn the jigs, reels and figure dancing of Ireland from a three time U.S. champion. Classes include solo step as well as group dancing. Please wear comfortable clothes and tie up tennis shoes. Shoes required. This is a non-recital class.
