remind you how to sing…” honors the maternal. “Road to the Sun” contains lyrical poetry, “flow your form into me, dance like drifting drops of mercury with constellation eyes…” And “Ernie’s Song” sung gracefully by Shawna on lead vocals sounds like some- thing you would be listen- ing to on an idyllic Sonoma County farm. “You Got Me” makes for a lovely wedding song, “keeping these two hearts happy and free...” Upbeat, danceable “Natural Flow” features Cory on lead vocals singing to his “sweet- est peach” that he’s ever seen! “So Many Someones” blends sweet harmonies by Twin So- les, “The sun is shining on
my body. I feel beautiful and I want to cry.” An American Folk Music masterpiece, “To Live is To Fly” written by Townes Van Zandt is beau- tifully done by Twin Soles. Written by an unknown com- poser, “Make Me Down a Pallet” is charmingly sung by Cory and Shawna who bring the imagery to life. Twin So- les gets bluesy in “When the Blues Walk Away.” Round- ing out the album is “Good- bye Elijah” with Shawna’s voice having an almost an- gelic quality. Besides Mr. and Mrs. Herve’, the other musicians on the album are: Michael Fortunato (horns), Gary Crel- ler
(bass), Corwin Zekley
(Violin), Patrick O’Connell (drums), Josh Yenne (pedal steel) along with Mike Em- erson (organ) on “Natural Flow”, Frank Riordan (har- monic,
keys) on “When
the Blues Walk Away” and George Chavez (cello). The bulk of the CD was expertly recorded and mixed by Harry Gale at Route 44 Studios in Sebastopol with the excep- tion of “Goodbye Elijah” that was recorded by Paul Lamb in Cotati. Visit the artists’ web- site at
