Welcome to the Yorkville area

community, my lifelong home. Yorkville is the seat of Kendall County, one of the fastest growing counties in Illinois. Our community has many recreational opportunities, including the Fox River, the many county forest preserves and state parks which offer a glimpse of our lands’ natural beauty, and the multiple neighborhood parks maintained by the City. Yorkville is uniquely situated on Kendall

County’s only north-south state highway, Illinois Route 47. Tis highway offers a gateway to greater opportunities for the various businesses Yorkville hosts, including multi-billion dollar corporations and numerous locally owned, family/mom-and-pop businesses. Tank you for making Yorkville your home, your business home, or stopping

by for a visit. Here’s to a healthy & happy year.

John Purcell Mayor, United City of Yorkville

people who connect, build relationships, and form a business community. When it joins its local Chamber, the business is intentionally joining and supporting its local business community. Te objective of Chamber staff and volunteers is to facilitate these connections on behalf of the businesses. Our Chamber is seeing a positive uptick not only in membership numbers but also in member engagement. Tere is fresh energy among members of our business community. By being so close to its center, we’re privy to seeing the results; the bonds created and the mutual support given. For example: watching an introduction that sparked instant recognition for collaboration

opportunities; group settings where advice and suggestions are flowing, and ideas are being built upon.

Tis is the foundation for a business community that works well as a unit

to help Yorkville prosper and become a destination. With this strong foundation, Yorkville’s Chamber of Commerce/business community is poised to embrace coming growth and opportunities on our horizon. Sherri Farley, Executive Director, Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce 2
