MACEDONIA MINISTERIES

In the Bible, an angel comes to the people in Macedonia and tells them he is there to help them. Tis was the inspiration for the name of a new Yorkville church. “God gave me that name from the book of Acts,”

says the Rev. David Shawn Frazier Sr., minister of the new Macedonia Ministeries, which meets Sundays at the Yorkville Hampton Inn, 310 E. Countryside Pkwy. for 9:45 a.m. Sunday school and Bible study and an 11 a.m. service. After spending 23 years assisting the late Bishop William

Haven Bonner at the Greater Mount Olive Church of God and Christ in Aurora, Rev. Frazier, a Yorkville resident, said he knew it was time to begin his own church in his home town. “Tis is what God called

me to do,” Rev. Frazier says. “We preach the Bible. Christ is the center of what we preach and teach.” For more information, call 630-597-5891 or go to macedoniaministrie.wixsite.com

went to Bible college together. Te whole time we were in school, we were really praying about what God wanted us to do. We sensed He was calling us to the Chicago area and it just seemed like where we should be.” After first living in Oswego, the Gash family moved to Yorkville

eight years ago. Melissa says she is thankful to have the church in the same community where they live. Te congregation, she says, is growing. “I think people are looking for something loyal and genuine, especially the younger generation. We really endeavor to stick to the Bible and not veer from it. We are excited and blessed to being doing this.” Sunday services
