Notts solicitor achieves specialist accreditation


Fraser Brown solicitor Julie McCrery has received a renowned Resolution Specialist Accreditation in family law, choosing Complex Financial Remedies and Pensions as her specialisms. Julie is a trained collaborative


lawyer and associate solicitor specialising in family and matrimonial cases. She started the Resolution


accreditation process in May 2018 to help further her expertise in the resolution of financial issues in the breakdown of relationships. Julie said: “The accreditation I

Bowmer + Kirkland sign up to Work Wallet


Work Wallet, the app-based health and safety platform which is transforming recording and reporting in the construction industry, is being adopted by Bowmer + Kirkland across the country. The Work Wallet reporting


system has been used on 15 Bowmer + Kirkland construction sites since September and is already proving to be the easiest and most efficient way of recording and reporting. Mark Blundy, Director of


Health and Safety at Bowmer + Kirkland, said: “It is helping our site management teams to keep track, report and update in an easy and efficient way. “There are other apps in the


industry that have been used for many years, but Work Wallet is completely bespoke. “This is the simplest piece of

Allison earns nomination for top national award


A Derbyshire businesswoman is helping put the county on the map after being named a finalist for a prestigious national award. Allison Kemp, Managing Director


of Ripley-based A.I.M Commercial Services, has been recognised for her work in the logistics sector in the 2019 Everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards. She is a woman on a mission to


encourage young people to consider a career in logistics and her efforts are helping to inspire the next generation. As an enterprise adviser she has


been working with a local secondary school, developing group work activities in logistics and raising awareness of the sector, while supporting the development of a student-led business ambassador network to develop students’ employability skills. Now she is one of three finalists in the


Freight Award category of the honours that recognise women who are innovating and excelling in their role within the industry. Allison said: “It is a massive


honour to be chosen as a finalist for these awards. “It is often those who work in the


major cities who feature on a national stage, so it is great to see Derbyshire and the East Midlands represented.” Now in their 12th year, the


awards champion and showcase the talented women working within the sector. A team of judges made up of


industry leaders have selected 46 finalists across the various categories from the nominations made. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony being held at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, on Park Lane in London, next month.

Staff at full-service marketing agency Purpose Media are warming up for their annual Play on the Pitch tournament, which is taking place at the New York Stadium, home to Rotherham United FC. The event, which has been held in previous years at


Derby County FC, is held to support the development of grassroots football. This year, an all-star team from Purpose Media take


on a team from Sleetmoor United, made up of coaching staff and the dads of girls and boys who play for the club. There will be a full day of tournament-style games


for all age groups, with the Dads and Coaches versus Team Purpose Media game headlining as the main event. Sleetmoor United, founded in 2016, brought together


three teams – ADASC FC, GFC Alfreton Girls and Ladies and Leabrooks Juniors Football Club – to form a single club with a united vision. Since then, Sleetmoor United has touched the lives of thousands of families across


Derbyshire, providing opportunities to participate in grassroots sport, learn crucial life skills, make friends and have fun. Purpose Media Managing Director Matt Wheatcroft


has been heavily involved in amalgamating the clubs and creating the new vision. Both of his daughters play football and he has also been coaching girls teams. Purpose Media also created the new branding as part of its CSR strategy and commitment to supporting the local community. Matt said: “This day is a vital fundraiser for


Sleetmoor United, which we hope will contribute towards funding a new 4G pitch. Business plans are being prepared which will be submitted for Football Foundation funding, which will hopefully see a grander scale vision come to fruition. “If the Football Foundation grant is successful, the


intention is to build brand new changing facilities, a community hall and other spaces that can be used commercially.”
