he Peacetown Summer Concert Series brings community together for
this fun, family-friendly an- nual event. “We started in 2012 with four shows, went to six the next year, then eight and 10. Now up to 13. Each year the crowds swell but, the vibe stays sweet. In between bands, we have an amazing moment of si- lence where the whole crowd goes quiet and I play the magic flute. It is always a wake- up minute of beautiful connection,” explains, Jim Corbett, Caretaker of Peacetown. This free summer series takes
concert
place on Wednesday evenings through Sep- tember 4th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Ives Park in
19th. Rounding out the line- up in June are Blues Legend, Nick Gravenites along with opener Ace of Cups on the 26th.
The full schedule and
Jim Corbett’s, Mr. Music Foundation brings quality music programs to schools. The proceeds from the beer and wine sales during the Peacetown
festivi-
ties benefit the Mr. Music Foundation so, they can continue to provide access to musical
instruments
and music lessons for the youth. An added bonus this year, is the Peacetown 2019 Sampler
CD with
Sebastopol. Mu- sic-lovers and dancers will get a double-dose of music each night with two bands play- ing on the Peacetown stage. The 8th annual Peacetown Summer Concert Series kicks- off on June 12th with Poynt- less Sistars and Blues Burners. Followed by Dr. Loco & His Rockin’ Jalapeno Band and Hangman’s Daughter on June
proceeds benefitting the Mr. Music Foun- dation. “What is great about the sampler is that everyone sends their best tune, so it makes for a great listen,” says Corbett of the 18 track CD. See Shekeyna’s Pos- itive CD Review’s in this issue of Upbeat Times for more about the Peacetown Sam- pler.
