IV had performed well and jumped clear in all bar one class. She and I were getting to know each other and I felt ready to jump her in the 1.40m. My Dad had total belief in her and thought she was a star in the making. I can see why. Tornado des Monts developed a small crack in his hoof wall so I didn’t jump him the last week. Although he was never lame it didn’t seem necessary to jump when he had gone so well over the four weeks. There is a long season ahead for us both I hope, so a weekend hacking around at the show didn’t do him any harm. Gunner was a star and tried hard as always, at 15.2hh we do sometimes look like we are in the wrong collecting ring with the big horses. Don Diego finished the trip with a 7th in the final Grand Prix. He has so much jump, I really hope we will have a chance at some bigger shows this year.

FOR TAPEWORM As recommended by experts in the UK-Vet equine deworming consensus
By Austin Davis Biologics Ltd.
Proven accuracy for diagnosing tapeworm infection*
WHY SHOULD I TEST?
• Save treatment for when it’s needed – help prevent resistance
• Only a quarter of horses tested in the UK have a tapeworm infection
• Carry out routine testing, not routine worming

It was something my Dad always thought would be a good invention, especially when you know you have a three day drive home, which went without a hitch as it turns out. We still haven’t eaten all the food though; we will be eating microwave rice all
