valuer and auctioneer of the year for the past four years at the UK’s Turnaround, Restructuring and Insolvency (TRI) Awards. Adam Pye, Managing Director,
said: “The company began in Nottingham over 50 years ago and we are thrilled to be investing in our headquarters in the city where it all began. “2019 will be an exciting year as
we continue to expand rapidly to meet growing supplier demand.”
Addison, and Associate Lewis Hastie, have been accepted as members of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS). The independent association
provides a forum for experts specialising in contentious trust and probate work to exchange experiences and know-how, helping to maintain a uniformly high standard of service in this highly skilled area of law. Kevin, who qualified as a solicitor
in 2005 and heads up the contentious trust and probate department from Nelsons’ Derby office, said: “We’re very proud to have three solicitors – one in each of our offices in Nottingham, Derby, and Leicester – accredited by ACTAPS. “The only way to gain membership is to have completed a significant amount of contentious

trust and probate work, which shows our experience when it comes to dealing with these types of cases. “There are many complex areas
to consider when contemplating a probate or trust claim. This can be very costly if overlooked or misjudged, therefore making it essential to instruct someone who is fully qualified. ACTAPS membership gives peace of mind to clients, showing that we’re
highly regarded, even by our peers, in this niche area of law.” In order to achieve ACTAPS
accreditation, contentious trust and probate work must account for either at least 50% of a practitioner’s active workload over the past five years or 25% over the past ten years. Lewis Hastie, who qualified as a
solicitor in 2009 and joined Nelsons’ Nottingham office in 2017, said: “The ACTAPS accreditation not only provides recognition of the quality of the work we carry out, it also enables us to develop our expertise further through the training provided by the association and gives us a platform to work with other contentious probate specialists.” Lewis Addison, who is based at
the law firm’s Leicester office and qualified as a solicitor in 2006, added: “Contentious probate is a fascinating area of law and is growing significantly at present. “As you tend to be dealing with
families during sensitive situations, such as a loved one dying, tensions can run high. Helping clients reach an agreement with their opponents and coming out of a dispute with a satisfactory result is extremely rewarding.”
