nother fantastic term of house sport took place in the chambers of the sports hall. Basketball took

precedence as the sport to challenge our competitors and with the games that took place, it couldn’t have been any more entertaining.

The competition held nothing back and there was much to see amongst the participants. Team work was evident throughout the competition, pieces of individual skill were displayed, and dis- agreement as well as encouragement were among the many scenes.

Some amazing performances were shown, particularly with our current new leaders Waugh with 85 points followed by Nightingale in 2nd with a respectable 80 points.

HOUSE COMPETITION FOR DDD

position D

uring Drop Down Day, the Year 7s enjoyed a series of competitive house activities across the

school.

House activities consisted of: A team building competition with Mr Ige; an Olympics circuit challenge with Mr Momodu; a Dance routine with Mrs Matthews; a Debate challenge with Mrs Cave and Mrs Deshaies. And lastly, an Art and English challenge held by Mr Pitt and Mrs Williams.

Each House competed in all the activities on a carousel, doing their up most best to set a record that their rival

houses would find difficult to beat.

From the start, signs of champions were displayed from all those who participated, however by the conclusion of the day it was clear that only one house were to be named champions of the DDD house competition…
