EXCHANGE AGFS WELCOMES CHINESE STUDENTS PROGRAMME T
his Spring Term we welcomed a cohort of thirteen Chinese students and their
accompanying teachers to spend a week at Ark GFS! This international exchange programme is the first of its kind for the school as we look to broaden our horizons and reach out to institutions far and wide.
Our Student Leadership Team were on hand to chaperone the visitors and ensure they received a warm welcome. During the week they were here, the Chinese students participated in lessons, enjoyed afternoon enrichment, and even took part in a drop-down day.
Joseph Earnest, Student Leader, was one of the pupils involved in coordinating the experience: “It was really fun to meet people from a completely different environment and who spoke a different language.
They were really fun and wanted to get involved in everything we do at GFS. It taught us a lot about other cultures and I’m sure they learnt a lot too. We made good friends and I hope we see them again one day.”
The teachers were also inspired by the experience; gifts were exchanged as a symbol of the new friendship with our Chinese colleagues.
Ms Reddy, who arranged the experience, was very proud of all who were involved and pleased that the school can offer this unique experience to demonstrate to demonstrate fellowship, teamwork and leadership.
我们希望很快再见到你 We hope to see you again soon.
