Children’s Homes

For 60 years, we have heard heart-breaking stories about children who need our help. Some are completely orphaned and have no family. Others are abandoned to survive on their own. Some are just left on the streets. Some have parents pushing them into hard labor, servitude, or teen marriages. And some parents and grandparents are forced to give up children due to disease, disability, extreme poverty, or old age.

So what do you do with children in such dire need? You begin with the basics of providing safe shelter. That is why WME, since our earliest days, has been involved in the construction, operation, and maintenance of Children’s Homes.

Sadly, many non-profit organizations have stopped operating children’s homes. Why? It is incredibly hard work, requiring significant financial resources, and a long-term commitment. This is why the work of WME Children’s Homes remains so important today.

To build, operate, and maintain these Children’s Homes, WME has relied on the financial support and prayers of partners just like you.We have facilities that house a dozen children and others that are home to more than 100 children at a time. The ages of our children range from toddlers to teenagers. While some of our WME Children’s Homes are new, others have been used for over 40 years.

While the ongoing work of running Children’s Homes is challenging, the impact it has on the lives of these at-risk children is critical. Your continued gifts and prayers help provide a safe refuge for the most vulnerable in society, guiding once orphaned and abandoned souls to a place in the Father’s house for all eternity. Helping underwrite maintenance and operating costs is a wonderful way to focus your faith and giving.
