Food For Hunger

WME’s Food For Hunger program dates back to the beginning of our ministry, and the objective of this program is remarkably simple. Through our actions we are attempting to follow the Lord’s commandment to love our neighbors as ourselves. This starts with meeting their most basic and immediate needs.

As followers of Christ, we are called to show His compassion and be a living testimony of what God has done and who Jesus is. And one way to do that is to feed the hungry, give water to the thirsty, shelter the stranger, aid the sick, clothe the naked, and help the hurting and displaced.

Food For Hunger also serves as the foundation for many other programs. Once people are fed and stabilized, we can steer them into other missions providing the training and skills to escape the poverty that has led to them not being able to obtain food or other basic needs.

Giving to WME’s Food For Hunger Program does not require a long- term commitment. Donors simply give what they can, whenever they can. A small, one-time gift might feed a family for several days, while a larger donation could help provide several families with basic necessities for a month.

Here is the bottom line: The change in your pocket might very well save a life today. That is how little it costs to end hunger for at least one soul. Would you make the eternal investment for a neighbor in need? A gift of $100 or more can make a huge impact!
