Friday 6am – 10am. Hallam FM is owned by Bauer Radio Limited. Vine Hotels is an established hotel business

with a track record of successfully operating hotels that consistently perform above the industry average. The business owns and manages five properties in Sheffield including Best Western Plus Kenwood Hall, Mosborough Hall, Cutlers Hotel, Whirlowbrook Hall and DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield Park Hotel. different sectors of industry, compliment the Chambers current and returning Patrons; Doncaster Sheffield Airport, Sheffield Hallam University, Shorts Chartered Accountants, The Sheffield College, The Templand Group, The University of Sheffield, Westfield Health, Workflow Group and Wosskow Brown Solicitors. Brenda Jordan, Chief Operating Officer at Sheffield Chamber, said: “The work we undertake with our Patrons is vitally important to the overall success of the Chamber. The support allows us to represent the views of the local business community strategically within key regional issues and macro-challenges that we face with significant backing. Looking past the importance of our policy work, our Patrons also allow us to display the success and calibre of the business community in Sheffield. “We are delighted to have added new Patrons

in 2019 demonstrating growth at this exclusive level of membership. The retention of existing and the addition of new Patrons reflects the continued success of our Patronage offer.” Thomas Sutton, Head of Corporate

Partnerships at Sheffield Chamber, added: “Over the past couple of years, we have seen sustained growth in every level of membership, but the prominent areas have been within the Patronage and the Premium Partners. In 2019 we are working with 13 Patrons and 79 Premium Partners, which is a great achievement for us a business representative organisation. “In 2019 we will continue to work hard for all

our members and provide the support required to assist them to develop and grow their businesses. As part of this work we are pleased to be launching new services for all our members to utilise and take advantage of. These services include: Chamber Invest, Chamber Business Finance, Chamber Hospitality, a Video Production Service and also a new look Chamber Data Service. Our new services complement our existing business support services, all of which are aimed at providing our members with a return on their investment at every level of membership. “I look forward to working with all our members and directly supporting our Patrons throughout the course of the year.”

President makes pledge to champion youth enterprise

Sheffield Chamber’s youngest President, Steve Manley (pictured), has pledged to encourage youth enterprise in his year of office. Steve, Joint Managing Director of

Universal Office Products, said: “I became involved with Young Enterprise while a student myself at Loxley College in 1993/4. I was the MD of our Young Enterprise company, an office supply firm called Paper Chain – it’s how I got into what I’m doing now. “As a result, I know the importance of championing young entrepreneurs and I’ve volunteered for Young Enterprise for nearly ten years, delivering talks to schools and colleges about entrepreneurship and what it takes to start up your own business.

“During my time on the Chamber Board, I

have met a number of entrepreneurs who’ve started companies in sectors like creative and digital. I’ve been really encouraged by the number of businesses joining membership in the past 12 months who have said they didn’t realise what Chamber membership involved and how we can help them. “We have a great diverse Chamber team

that includes highly experienced management coupled with a young highly motivated workforce. Youth and exuberance works well and it’s certainly changed dramatically over the last decade.”
