Finally, the highlight of the calendar, the
Barnsley and Rotherham Business Awards, which recognises the achievements of businesses and individuals, will take place on Friday, 18 October. We will be introducing a couple of new
categories to the mix this year and applications will be open from Monday, 3 June. Diane Graham, Events Manager, said: “We
have fully reviewed our events over the past 12 months to ensure that we are delivering what our members want. The 2019 event calendar will see the best of our events returning, along with new events which have been requested by our member businesses. “We hope to see you throughout the year and
encourage you to give feedback. This will help us develop our events for the following year.” Please do remember that event bookings
do tend to close the week prior to the date or may have sold out, to avoid disappointment please book at your earliest convenience.

Join the Chamber at Oakwell Stadium for a lunchtime networking event with special guest Bruce Dyer, who will speak about his transition from being the first million-pound teenage footballer, to local business man and head of charity Love Life. Attendees will also have the chance to see
the latest in managed print from Copier Systems who will be showcasing a range of hardware and demonstrating the latest document management and document workflow solutions from 10.00am – 3.00pm.

Join us for our Charity Quiz night in aid of the Memory of Molly Hurst: The Young People Health & Wellbeing Fund. The quiz is open to all and quiz master Dominic Beck of Beck Financial Planning will cover a range of topics which will appeal to all ages. On the night, there will be a raffle with all proceeds raised on the night going directly to
