your quarterly one-stop-shop for news from the Barnsley & Rotherham, Doncaster, East Midlands and Sheffield Chambers of Commerce. It will also provide the latest news from the Sheffield City Region (SCR) and its thriving businesses, the LEP, and the Sheffield City Region Growth Hub. What is the SCR? And what is the LEP? These


acronyms may be unfamiliar to you, but the concept is straightforward. Located at the heart of the UK, the Sheffield


City Region LEP was formed in 2010 and spans the nine local authorities of Barnsley, Bassetlaw, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, Doncaster, North East Derbyshire, Rotherham and Sheffield. The LEP board brings together leaders from


across the region including private sector business heads, politicians, partners from the world of academia, the Mayor and Trade Union representatives. Working together, we aim to create jobs, drive economic growth and showcase our region to the world. Formed around the core South Yorkshire


conurbation, this LEP geography incorporates varied communities from rural hamlets to thriving
