Chapter of the British American Business Council (BABC). The Chamber has been part of the BABC for 24 years and will remain in that network of 23 Chapters. We felt that the BABC would benefit from a new, clear proposition to clarify and cement our position as the leading international membership organisation in the Midlands. It will provide a gateway for transatlantic

trade and investment that will take on even deeper significance post-Brexit. Importantly, membership of the GBTCC

he creation of the Greater Birmingham Transatlantic Chamber of Commerce (GBTCC) marks another significant step in

‘We felt that the BABC would benefit from a new, clear proposition to clarify and cement our position as the leading international membership organisation in the Midlands’

And with that in mind, we are delighted to

once again be hosting a transatlantic conference that was such a success last year. We listened to delegates’ comments last year

and as a result will be devoting more time to networking, giving attendees the opportunity to forge the sort of links that only personal contact can achieve. Topics, of course, will be wide-reaching including an examination of how world trade looks currently and there will also be a special focus on doing business with Canada. The “annual interview” has always been a

keynote event at the conference and will take on even more importance with the UK’s exit from Europe when trade will increasingly look across the Atlantic and to Commonwealth countries. The setting will again be Royal Birmingham

Conservatoire, providing a wonderful backdrop that Birmingham will be proud to showcase to our visitors from North America.
