SEASONAL FUN AT Trinity Theatre

From a musical for all the family to a bit of stand-up for the grown-ups, there’s something for everything at local Trinity Theatre

T

his Christmas, Trinity Theatre presents a musical adaptation of The Wind in the Willows (from 13th December-2nd January), with

a new script from Downton Abbey’s Julian Fellowes. The Wild Woods take over the theatre, from messing about on the river with Ratty and Mole, to a daring prison escape, and a battle for Toad Hall. Carried along

by exuberant choreography and a gloriously British score, Trinity offers a unique wintry delight, from the team behind last year’s The Wizard of Oz, which earned a fi ve-star review from The Stage. • Trinity’s Comedy Café moves into their newly renovated foyer for a special three-day run over Christmas (6th-8th December). Take in this intimate – and often quite boozy – stand-up showcase with a seasonal three-course menu – along with your yuletide tipple of choice, of course!

• Lyngo Theatre deliver another energetic, inventive production with Snow Play (25th November), perfect for younger audiences. The smash-hit London production stages a face-off between winter and spring, and the audience are encouraged to join in – helping to build a giant snowman, cover a whole house in snow, and have a snowball fi ght.
