Marina renovation in Florida

On 6 October, it was announced that IGY Marinas had completed the $25 million renovation of Maximo Marina in St Petersburg, Florida. IGY has overseen all aspects of design, redevelopment and operations of the marina since 2015 on behalf of the owner, Bixby Bridge Capital, a private real estate investor and lender. The marina has been completely redeveloped over the last 18 months, with ORION Construction serving as the general contractor for the project. Maximo Marina’s transformation

now provides world-class amenities such as floating concrete pontoons, a state-of-the-art fuel dock, covered berths for vessels up to 100 ft, boat lifts for vessels up to 36 ft, complimentary Wi-Fi on gigabit- enabled fibre network around the marina basin, renovated support facilities and the opening of the Getaway Maximo Restaurant, the largest to open in South St Petersburg for more than a decade. Now that all major phases of

construction complete, Maximo Marina has the ability to welcome more than 200 vessels in wet berths, 142 of which, are covered, and 58 equipped with boat lifts. The facility can also accommodate an additional 88 craft within inside storage racks and another 200 on outside dry storage racks.

to add to the robust nature of the third-party evaluation”. The three marinas are all planning significant ceremonies over the coming weeks and months to celebrate their achievement with their staff, customers and communities. Over 250 accredited marinas are

now participating in the Global Gold Anchor Scheme and a strong take-up is occurring as marinas embrace the Scheme’s focus on customer service and its benefits as a template for continual business improvement.
