Sea National Park, which was founded in 1985, is well worth seeing – guided tours can be booked – while in Germany. This area is immense and provides a major nature reserve for the indigenous wildlife. The Westerhever Lighthouse is a popular attraction and astonishes its visitors with superb landscapes and unique vistas on the shores of the North Sea. A cosy restaurant here is renowned for its romantic atmosphere where couples can enjoy a meal. The nearby city of Lübeck is a


magnificent merchant trading centre that was first constructed in 819 and was later burned down by a Slavonic invasion in 1138. It was reconstructed five years later and is now celebrated for its range of traditional shops. The Lübeck Museum of Theatre Puppets is a fun place to visit and presents puppeteering history and fantastic exhibits of carved wooden puppets for children to enjoy.
