NEW QUIZ NIGHT: Due to popular demand, the carnival committee has decided to hold a Christmas Quiz. With strictly limited availability for teams of four, we will be hosting this event on Wednesday 19th December at the Holme Bush Inn. The entry fee will be just £8 per team. Food from the restaurant will be available and teams will need to advise if they intend to eat.
The Quiz will start at 8pm and finish around 10pm. The Quiz itself will have a festive theme and we invite quizzers to get into the Christmas spirit and wear Christmas jumpers and silly headwear (eg. reindeer antlers) – there may even be an appearance by Santa himself! Due to the popularity of our quiz nights, booking is strongly recommended, to avoid disappointment.
This event is a fundraiser, so whether you can attend or not, if you’d like to donate a prize for the raffle we’ll be holding on the night, please get in contact with us.
NEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS: We are delighted to welcome two new people to our small band of volunteer committee members. This followed a
recent appeal to fill two vitally important positions. So a very warm welcome to Rachel Woodman, who joins us as our Secretary, and to Vera Brown, who takes up the post of Treasurer.
RUNNERS DIARY: We know that running club diaries get set well in advance, so for those budding athletes out there, please note the date for the Corfe Mullen 5K and Children’s 1 mile as Tuesday 11th June 2019, at the recreation ground. We are delighted to confirm Seyward Windows Ltd and Lesley Shand as sponsors.
BENEFICIARIES 2019: We are in the final stages of deciding on supporting a selection of Corfe Mullen based organisations as beneficiaries of Carnival 2019 and we look forward to confirming exactly who very soon. Check our website and social media for regular updates.
