Dine in style at the Brew Bar and Restaurant

Birmingham Marriott Hotel is offering Chamberlink readers the chance to win a meal for four people at their newly refurbished Brew Bar and Restaurant. After the upcoming busy holiday season, Birmingham Marriott Hotel is

urging people to kick the January blues to the curb with their new seasonal menu at their newly refurbished Brew Bar and Restaurant. Refurbished in May this year, the restaurant was refreshed in order to

present a more relaxed warm atmosphere at the hotel, near Five Ways. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the restaurant provides the perfect venue for fine food in a smart-casual atmosphere. The restaurant features a modern British menu, featuring 28-day aged cuts of premium British beef, a selection of home-made artisan cocktails and a number of craft beers and ciders.

– this university has had a profound effect on my life. I was an undergraduate in physics, a post- graduate and a post-doctorate fellow. I learnt a lot and I feel that I have a huge personal debt to the university, and I feel very fortunate to be able to come back.” His appointment will involve a minimum of one day’s work a month for three years helping

develop a future generation of engineers on the Birmingham campus. “It is not just about the academic qualifications of students. It is now recognised that there are other things that students need to get a good job. You have to be a good team-player, a good communicator, a good listener, you have to have good people skills. “I would rather take on a less gifted engineer who can fit in well

and integrate than a totally brilliant individual who just can’t get on with other people. “Britain is still very strong in the

hi-tech world in different arenas, still a leading light.” He said part of his role would

involve addressing the current under-representation of ethnic minorities to produce a more diverse engineering sector and dilute its current male-dominated base.
