ABCC celebrates Helping businesses prepare: Henrietta Brealey
New services to aid Brexit preparations
With just a few months until the UK exits the European Union, the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) is launching a range of new support and services to help businesses prepare. GBCC will be hosting a series of Brexit Clinics,
the first taking place on the 27 November, and launch a Business Brexit Health-Check tool. The Brexit Clinics will offer businesses an
update on the latest Brexit timeline and opportunities to speak directly with guest experts. The Business Brexit Health-Check will help
businesses identify which areas of their business will be most affected by Brexit and provide a free, tailored report with suggested next steps. Henrietta Brealey, director of policy and
strategic relationships, said: “Brexit will be the biggest change to the UK’s political and trading
relationships for a generation. As part of our mission to connect, support and grow businesses in Greater Birmingham we want to ensure that all businesses have the tools and support they need to navigate Brexit effectively. “We know that Brexit can be baffling. Every
week thousands of pages of official and unofficial guidance, advice and media reports are produced. It can be hard for businesses to find the information of most relevance to their specific needs. “That’s why we are launching out Brexit Clinics
and forthcoming Business Brexit Health-Check to cut through the noise and ensure businesses are informed and able to access expert advice on how best to prepare their business.”
