utility-scale solar, and Sonoma Clean Power (SCP), the public electricity provider for Sonoma and Mendocino counties, an- nounced today the completion of a two-megawatt solar power system located in rural Petalu- ma. The 4990 D Street Exten- sion is one of two one-megawatt systems that make up SCP’s renewable

The projects have the capacity to power 600 homes. “Today is a huge milestone in our journey toward a clean energy future for Sonoma and Mendocino counties,” said SCP CEO Geof Syphers The two one-megawatt projects generate electricity for SCP customers enrolled in the EverGreen service, SCP’s 100 percent local renewable elec- tricity service. Coldwell Solar developed the two-megawatt solar system for Sonoma Clean Power through Power Purchase Agreements (PPA). Under the terms of the 20-year agreements, Coldwell Solar leases land from local landowners, and builds, oper- ates and maintains the solar energy systems for Sonoma Clean Power. The projects are part of SCP’s ProFIT program that allows landowners to lease their
