Landscape Artist Toshi Yoshida Prints & Additional Artists Prints At Annex Galleries Sure to Amaze!

Santa Rosa, CA. ~ The An- nex Galleries was established in 1971 in Santa Rosa, Cali- fornia, in the heart of Sonoma County’s beautiful wine coun- try. The Annex Gal- leries is primarily a secondary-market, salon-style

gallery

specializing in 19th and 20th century American, European, Hispanic, and Asian original fine prints. This includes metal

Modernist

and Abstract Expres- sionist prints from the 1940s through 1960s, prints created at Atelier 17 in New York and Paris, and California prints and printmakers. The in- ventory, assembled over a period of forty years, consists of over 6000 works, most of which are available on their website, up- dated daily. The Annex Galleries has been the representative

for the Gustave Baumann estate

since 1974. We also represent prints from the estates of An- ders Aldrin, Fred Becker, Dorr

James D. Smillie and others. The gallery is a member of the International Fine Print Deal- ers Association (IFPDA) and participates

in

a number of Fine Print Fairs and art fairs throughout the US. They also organize special exhibitions in the gallery and on our website. Since the gal-

lery’s 2001 on- line debut, it has also established itself as a re- source for col- lectors and en- thusiasts of fine prints. In addi- tion to carrying established art- ists, it has been the goal of the Annex to dis- cover the artists behind obscure works and

One of many prints: Toshi Yoshida was born on July 25, 1911, in Tokyo as the eldest son of the painter and print- maker Hiroshi Yoshida in 1911 in Tokyo. From an early age he learned the art of printmaking and painting from his father and his mother Fujio - an artist herself. Even his grandfather had worked as an artist. Thus the young Toshi grew up in that perfect environment that has the tendency to bring forth a genius.
