Weird Facts & Trivia - 4

In China Christmas is called the festival of Sheng Dan Jieh, which means Holy Birth Festival. Homes are decorated and the traditional Christmas tree is called the “tree of light”

In Penngrove on Woodward Ave. there is a large pothole that needs to be fixed. Earlier this year somebody painted an orange ring around the perimeter as a warning to drivers to avoid it. The paint faded so someone refreshed the orange ring. This is a photo of how the next person found beauty in the midst of ugliness. That is such a Sonoma County thing to do. Now that it has turned into a public art project I’m almost hoping the county continues to ignore the pothole, even though it needs to be fixed! ~ Submitted by Pat Lundquist of Sonoma County, an Upbeat Times reader & fan.
