I wonder why VH1 hasn't done a Little Feat behind the music. VH1 says Little Feat doesn't have a story. (Laughs) That's the good news!
What? They can do one on Leif Garrett, but Little Feat doesn't have a story? And the bone they threw us was, we can do a 'Where Are They Now,' and that may lead into a 'Behind The Music.' We're not buying that. I think those people are very insulting. I think those shows are the equivalent of the maga- zines you see at the checkout stand. If we're going to do our story, we're going to do it our- selves. The big word here is context. And a lot of people don't think in those terms. But we want to do that, and there's a special concert we want to put on at some point. We just want to keep flying and upholding the flag of good music.

Feat has gone through many changes. The band suffered the loss of another pivotal member, Richie Hayward who died in 2010. Singer Shaun Murphy left the band in
2009 and formed her blues based Shaun Murphy Blues Band, also returning to her previous gig as backup singer for Bob Seger on tour. In 1994 Paul Barrere announced that
he had liver cancer. In 2014 Bill Payne joined the band Leftover Salmon as a permanent member, but left in 2015 to join the Doobie Brother’s touring band, still reuniting with other Feat members for shows. Anyone who loves the Feat is encour-
