The venue represented one of the largest, most extravagant buildings within the region, comprising simply of one cinema screen seating over 3,000 guests. It was subdivided into four screens in the 1960s and remained closed throughout much of the 1990s. Recently the building has been restored to its former glory and retains its original art deco splendour, along with a newfound reputation as a leading events venue within the Midlands. The Athena team scooped Best
