Institute Invests In Industry Training
About 90 people are now registered on the Institute’s Continuous Professional Development Scheme. This is open to ISPE members and non-members, all free of charge, more and more companies are participating in the industry-supported, free half or full day CPD training days.
Delegates book direct with the training providers and receive light refreshments and a CPD attendance certificate, and it’s all free of charge!

ISPE president, John Cheek, from Hydrospec Ltd., talked about problems and pitfalls with pipework installations and started by saying that he wasn’t going to talk about how to install pipework correctly covered topics such as pipe sizing, two main drains and other issues.

The Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers was set up in 1978 to establish an organisation for the individual swimming pool engineer (no corporate membership) to:
• Foster a professional approach to the design, installation and maintenance of swimming pools, enclosures and all ancillary equipment;
• Give recognition to technical skill and ability;
• Engage in the education and training of persons within all sectors of the swimming pool industry;
• Promote unrestricted co-operation and liaison between all persons actively involved in the industry and its allied professions and trades;
• Provide opportunities for association and
interchange of thought and experience amongst the members and their colleagues.
