mentary Band Festival will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at South Orange Middle School. Sixth grad- ers from North Jersey who have been nominated by their directors will rehearse and perform a concert in a one-day festival. Bands will be con- ducted by Brian Michalowski of H.B. Whitehorne Middle School (Verona), and Jenna Hanratty of Eric S. Smith Middle School (Ramsey). Orchestra I want to take a moment to con-
gratulate all of the students who audi- tioned for the Region I High School Orchestra. Directors, thank you so much for attending the auditions and supporting your students. This year’s Region I Orchestra Conductor was James Anderson from the University of Delaware, and the concert wason Sunday February 11th at Paramus High School. The Junior High School Orches- tra audition preparations are already under way.

The managers of the Orchestra and the String Ensemble were Laura Kearney (Morrestown Upper Elementary School), Alex Rones (Bridgeton Public Schools), Carrington Thompson (Haddonfield HS), and Sara Smith (DeMasi MS). The managers for the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band were Shannon Hughes (Northern Burlington Coun- ty Regional MS), D.
