Our Executive Board has been incredibly busy put- ting together these events and I would like to take a moment to thank them all for their outstanding work. In that same sentiment, I want to remind our membership that the role of division co-chairperson can be very rewarding. Between putting auditions together, facilitating rehearsals and concerts and running professional develop- ment sessions, our division chairs do a lot for our region. In the end, it is incredibly gratifying to see all of our events at their culmination. To that end, I would like to send

Congratulations to all students who successfully auditioned for the NJSMA region bands and to all the directors that helped with auditions, rehearsals and concerts. NJSMA would not be able to provide these wonderful opportunities for students without the support and encourage- ment from their sponsoring directors. The Junior High School Con-
cert will be March 5, 2018 at John H. Walker Middle School in Nutley, NJ. Joel Craig Davis, Director of Bands at William Paterson Universi- ty, will conduct the Junior Symphon- ic Winds, and the Junior Concert Band will be under the direction of David Walsh, band director at Leonia Middle School.
