She was the recipient of the “Gov- ernor’s Educator of the Year” Award at Hopatcong Middle School in 2016 and is listed in Who’s Who Among Ameri- can Teachers. She is also a Google Cer- tified Teacher, Apple Certified Teacher, and Defined STEM Certified Teacher. Longo also devotes her time as an

She was the keynote speaker at The Music Den Professional Development Day in Randolph, NJ. She has also pre- sented numerous workshops at NJMEA Winter and Summer Conferences, New Jersey School Board Association (NJS- BA) Workshops, New Jersey’s Principal and Supervisor Association (NJPSA) / Foundation for Educational Admin- istration in Monroe, NJ, and Texas Music Educator’s Association/Ti:ME Conference, Tech & Learning Live. She has provided professional development to various school districts across New Jersey. Shawna has also worked with

In her free time, Shawna enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She can also be found cheering on her son as she embraces her role as a soccer mom.
