JENNINGS BREWERY CELEBRATES 190 YEARS OF BREWING

Jennings Brewery is celebrating 190 years of brewing in 2018, with a programme of events and promotions throughout the year and is urging Cumbrian residents and visitors to join the fun.

In 1828, George IV was on the throne and the Duke of Wellington was Prime Minister when the son of a local maltster, John Jennings, began brewing in his Lorton-based brew house.

Now, 190 years later Jennings Brewery and its famous Cockermouth brewery is synonymous with the Lake District and Cumbria and is renowned the world over for its premium award-winning ales and warm Lakeland hospitality.

This year will play host to a series of family fun days hosted by the brewery team and the Jennings bar will be appearing at many of the region’s outdoor events with special discounts on offer. A limited edition commemorative pump clip for their flagship beer, Cumberland Ale, is being produced for beer and pub enthusiasts.

Lasting Power of Attorney Service

“I’d been thinking about sorting out an LPA for a while. We are very grateful to have found this service, nothing was too much trouble.”

100% of customer survey respondents would or have already recommended our Lasting Power of Attorney Service.

A Lasting Power of Attorney is a legal document which gives you the peace of mind that your affairs will be managed by people you trust if you should become incapacitated due to illness or injury.

Our service offers tailored support to help you register LPA’s for Property and Finance and Health and Welfare. This often starts with a chat on the telephone, when our team help you identify the right option for you, based on your circumstances.

Alternatively, you can make an appointment to visit our office, where we can talk through the options and the process on a one-to-one basis.

The annual customer survey 2017 tells us 96% of customers rate our value for money service as very positive; they really value how our friendly team make a complicated process easier for them, taking the stress away.

New for 2018: 10% discount available across the range of services, subject to eligibility.

Call us on 01900 821976 to find out how our service can support you to register Lasting Power of Attorney. Julie Crellin

For passionate Jennings’ fans there will be commemorative glassware, T-shirts and merchandise available throughout the year that will be must-have items for collectors.

Sarah Grave, brand manager at Jennings Brewery said: “As we move into our twentieth decade we had to mark this year as something very special. It’s not very often that brands are around for this length of time, so we are very proud to celebrate our 190-year milestone and hope that fellow Cumbrians will share our pride and join us for a beer or two!”
